- Finish all the homework given last week. You should not be telling Madam Chia that you are unable to hand in any piece of homework on Tuesday, 13 September. Examinations are round the corner. Please work hard!
- Learn the phrases that will be tested on Tuesday, 13 September. Get an adult or sibling to test you. If you have no one to test you i.e. you are alone at home until a parent returns home from work, you can look at the blank crossword puzzle posted here and write the answers out on a piece of paper.

- Let's practise reading aloud today! We have been practising how to answer stimulus-based conversation questions. I hope you still remember how to read well.
- Bearing PEARS (Punctuation, Expression, Accuracy, Rhythm, Smoothness) in mind, practise reading the passage below a few times.
- Do an audio recording of your reading aloud using the voice recording function of a mobile phone. If you have no mobile phone, you may want to wait until an adult is home before you record your reading.
- Send a WhatsApp message to Madam Chia's work phone and attach your voice recording to the message. Int he message, please identify yourself. After listening to the audio recording, Madam Chia will send a message back with comments and feedback about your reading.

- Let's revise comprehension cloze today! Many students are still not doing well in this section. One of the strategies to doing well is knowing collocations. What are collocations? They are words that are commonly used together.
- There are a few collocations that you need to be familiar with.

- Let's revise situational writing! Madam Chia is going to revise writing an informal email to a friend with you. Please look at the two images posted below. Complete your situational writing on a piece of foolscap paper.
Step 1: What is the purpose? Where exactly in the question paper can you get the purpose from?
Step 2: Who is the sender? Who is the recipient?
Step 3: What is the context? In this case, since it is an informal email, you can sign off with "Regards," If the person that you are writing to is a relative or sibling, you can sign off with "Love,"
